A center on the island of Texel, with an aquarium, a rescue center for marine mammals, and a natural history museum
Ecomare is a center that will make you love the Wadden Islands even more. Located on the island of Texel, it was founded in 1929! It has an excellent natural history museum, an aquarium and a rescue center for marine mammals. This center of documentation and observation on the fauna and flora of the island allows a dive into today's concerns with the preservation of animals, nature and the impact of man on the environment. Young seals that are sick or injured are cared for here. A park of 50 hectares of dunes is included in the complex.

Un parcours permet une ballade dans les dunes, une volière permet de découvrir quelques oiseaux du coin.
Seul regret, les explications n'ont lieu qu'en Néerlandais, au niveau des plaquettes c'est écrit en Anglais et Allemand, rien en Français...
