Family-friendly museum explaining cheese making with a special children's program in Alkmaar
It was only logical to find such a museum in the Netherlands, and even more so that it should be based in Alkmaar! Housed in the Waag, the Dutch Cheese Museum presents the history of dairy and cheese production in the region, their trade, and rural life through the centuries. Numerous utensils, photos and films make up the museography. The museum is suitable for the whole family, and will explain cheese-making with a special children's program.
