Located in the Museumpark, in the Villa Dijkzigt, the Natuurmuseum, the only natural history museum in the region since 1927, is a place for exhibitions, activities, collections and information about nature and the environment. Expanded with a glass pavilion, the museum houses a collection of stuffed birds and mammals, butterflies, beetles and other insects, skulls and skeletons, shells and fossils. Visit also the cabinet of Anton Boudewijn van Deinse (1885-1965), professor at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
