Catalyst bridge for tourism and urban movement composed of wooden boards on which the names of the donors are carved
This bridge connects Rotterdam North and the center and revitalizes an area that has been totally neglected for years. This bridge is a catalyst for tourism and urban movement. Incredible achievement and financed by crowdfunding, it consists of a pedestrian bridge of 390 meters. This bridge, inaugurated in June 2015, is composed of wooden boards on which the names of donors are carved (more than 2,000 people have participated to date). Fiery yellow, this bridge is ideal for making very dynamic urban photos and is a testament to the inventiveness of Rotterdam.

Luchtsingel Bridge.
Luchtsingel en néerlandais signifie « pont aérien ». Il s’agit d’une passerelle en bois longue de 400 mètres et qui relie le quartier autrefois enclavé de Hofplein aux autres quartiers de la ville. Avec l’aide d’un cabinet d’architecture, les habitants du quartier Hofplein avaient lancé un financement participatif pour que soit créée cette structure. Désormais, les piétons peuvent relier Hofplein au reste de l’agglomération, en toute sécurité, sans avoir à traverser la voie rapide ni même la ligne de chemin de fer. Sur les planches de la passerelle peintes en jaune sont gravés les noms des différents donateurs.
