The largest covered market in the world whose originality lies in its huge ceiling, covered with a luminous fresco
The Markthal is the largest covered market in the world. In the middle of this 40 meter high and 120 meter long tunnel, there are no less than 100 fresh food stands, 8 cafés and restaurants and more than 200 futuristic apartments. The whole is protected from the wind by a glass façade. The originality of this market lies in its immense ceiling (11,000 m²) which is covered with an incredibly luminous fresco elaborated by the couple Arno Coenen-Iris Roskam entitled Horn of plenty. Markhal is the work of MVRDV.

Ambiance restauration de gare
C'est bondé, c'est que ça attire au-delà de l'architecture, mais pour moi tout crie restauration de gare. Si ce n'est une diversité indéniable en termes d'offre, on n'est pas loin du sandwich acheté chez Paul gare du Nord, si ce n'est en termes de budget…

Un marché où il fait bon flâner
Superbe architecture et nombreux commerçants: ce marché couvert est un régal pour les yeux et les papilles! La fresque murale est très impressionnante, et vous trouverez une diversité de cuisines, locales ou du monde. Mention spéciale pour le stand de stroopwafels, servies chaudes: un vrai délice! On peut également boire un verre sur l'un des nombreux stands: bières ou vins, il y en a pour tous les goûts! Un arrêt incontournable pour tous les gourmands.

Marché impressionnant avec un plafond coloré, très propre et remplis de hollandais, on peut y acheter des produits typiques tels que du fromage ou d'autres spécialités par contre c'est vraiment réservé à la nourriture
