Former tramway shed turned into a cultural complex, a clear proof of the city's expansion to the west
These Halles are the refurbished former streetcar shed that almost instantly became the capital's new must-see classic. The complex includes restaurants, a cinema, a library, a covered Foodhallen food market... Not to be missed by locals and tourists alike. It's a real place of culture and life for the people of Amstellodam. It's proof positive of the city's westward expansion. We particularly like to come here for the weekend craft markets.
