Besieged by Holofernes, the Palestinian town of Bethulia was delivered thanks to the dedication of Judith. Her story is told in the Old Testament. In 1833, the London Missionary Society handed over the Moordenaarspoort post on the Orange River to the French. The French renamed the mission Bethulia. In the heart of the Free State, the town of Bethulia, whose name was not chosen at random - and with good reason, since it means "chosen by God" - lies 185 km south of Bloemfontein, accessible via the N1 to Springfontein, then the R715. It's here that you can discover the famous Royal Hotel and its 30,000 pounds.
