It is in the heart of the primary forest of Tsitsikamma, "the place of clear waters" in the language of the Hottentots, that one sees the fascinating yellowwoods, century-old cladrastis adorned with a collar of ferns and wild orchids. We strongly advise you to take the extraordinary R102 road in either direction. You leave the N2 and, from the east, descend into the Vark River Gorge and climb up to Bloukrans Pass. The landscape is beautiful. At one point, the huge motorway bridge over the Bloukrans will be visible from the road. It is the largest bridge in Africa, 451 m long. It is here that the volunteers will make the world's largest bungee jump from a bridge, a 216 m dive. About 14 km after leaving it, the road finally joins the N2, which we cut to continue on our R102 towards Nature's Valley. At the bottom of the valley, lying between the lagoon and the ocean, we discover the most magical beach in South Africa. The R102 then goes up by another road towards The Crags and the N2. Here we are in the wildest part of the Garden Route. There are very few hotels and those that exist are far apart. On this coast, the R102 is our favorite. The landscapes follow one another and are not alike. And then, the activities do not miss. All along this road, we choose to look at the sea or the mountain, the plains or the forest of Tsitsikamma, the surfing, the bungee jumping or the accrobranche
