GAMKABERG NATURE RESERVE
Provincial reserve in the Gamka massif, home to antelopes, monkeys and very rare leopards.
This 9 428-hectare provincial reserve, located in the Gamka massif, was created to protect the zebra zebra, a species of which there are only a few hundred representatives in South Africa. It also houses antelopes, monkeys and very rare leopards. The vegetation is typical of the Petit Karoo: fat and fynbos plants. No less than six easy walking tours are offered from the Guarrie Walk (15 minutes) at the Tierkloof Trail (6 hours), with picnic areas on the way. Rustic accommodation under straw.
