Fortune of the Sea, a spine-chilling museum. The sinking of the Arniston in May 1815 at Waenhuiskrans caused the death of 372 people. Spectacular staging and a wealth of detail are sure to please children and parents alike before a visit to Cap des Agulhas, the ship's "graveyard". The museum's curator presented Jackie Charlotte from the French Consulate in Cape Town with an extract from a report drawn up in 1871 by Mr. Hugo, the Consul's representative at the time.
