A majestic building built in 1885 by Henry Greaves, with a remarkable library inside.

Built in 1885 by Henry Greaves, this majestic building at the entrance to Company's Garden is the seat of the Parliament of South Africa. Triangular pediment, porticoes and Corinthian pavilions in classical style, to better admire it, look at it from Plein Street. Inside, its library is remarkable. From January to June, the building can be visited. Watch a video on the new symbols of the nation and the emblem of the new Parliament, access to the debates from the public galleries of the National Assembly or the National Council of Provinces.

Un Parlement ouvert à la visite parfois.
Le Parlement est ouvert gratuitement à la visite avec réservation préalable et scan du passeport quand il n'y a pas de manifestation politique. Le service vous répond très aimablement si la visite est possible.
Pour nous ce n'était pas possible le jour demandé mais faisable 2 jours plus tard.

Un beau bâtiment au coeur de jardins. C'est un endroit pour passer une ballade tranquille. Pas de problème d'insécurité particulière. C'est un endroit agréable.
