ORLANDO TOWERS

You can't miss them. The two enormous towers that stand in the heart of Soweto, remnants of the former Orlando power plant, have quickly become a symbol of the city, and especially of the district. Entirely repainted by local artists in the colours of South Africa, the towers dominate the 80 km2 that Soweto represents and make it easier to find your way around. At the foot of the towers, a bar welcomes both tourists and locals in a festive and relaxed atmosphere, while some people bungee jump.
