In this international station, daily trains from and to Hanoi. Travel time: about 5.5 hours. Northbound, the line extends past the Friendship Gate (Huu Nghi Quan) into China's Guangxi province, but the station is not open to international travelers. Dong Dang is the station on the Vietnamese border where the metric track ends and the normal track continues to the large Chinese megalopolis of Nanning.
