A large bronze statue of King Ly Thai Tô was unveiled to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the liberation of the capital.
On the eastern side of the lake, on the other side of Dinh Tien Hoàng Street (the Post Office Street) and in the square framed by Lê Lai and Lê Thach Streets which lead to the large Art Deco building of the National Bank, is the large bronze statue of King Ly Thai Tô. It was inaugurated on October 7, 2004 in honor of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the capital. Early in the morning, the esplanade attracts practitioners of yoga or tai chi. In the evening, it is the turn of families and young children equipped with rollerblades or budding footballers.

If you need to see this esplanade, it is not so much for the statue, but rather to observe Vietnamese, early in the morning or evening from 17:00, to enjoy the freshness to practice different activities: Tay Chi, skates, yoga,… It is really worth a look!
