The delta, a former @-shaped gulf filled by alluvial red river deposits and Thai Binh, is divided into fertile valleys separated by small mountains. With a population of 20 million inhabitants (one quarter of the total population), the Red River delta is the region of the most densely populated country. This is where Hanoi, the capital, is located, and the port of Haiphong, the second and third city of the country in terms of population. If you arrive in Vietnam by Hanoi (Hà Nôi), you usually start with three or four days in the capital. Then you will spend one night in Along Bay (Ha Long) before heading towards Hoa Lu or Cô Loa or in the mountains to the Chinese border (Welcome). For reasons of transport, we usually return to Hanoi, where there are still two days to better familiarize yourself with the city and visit its surroundings.Hanoi, the capital of the country where several influences merge, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in Asia. Envied for its broad perspectives, it is immersed in the shade of a vast plant cover that filters too much light and preserves a village intimacy that is organized around the lakes, markets and neighbourhoods that dominate the craft activities.
