Between Palaiochora and Hania, this tavern owes its well-deserved fame to the spirit of hospitality and organization of Samantha, the manager. Sit under the plane trees in Kandanos Square and enjoy a Cretan cuisine worthy of the name: tsigariasto (sheep with lemon and thyme), sautéed snails (bourbouristoi) with rosemary and vinegar, zucchini flowers stuffed with rice, homemade yoghurt, baked eggplant, three-cheese pie (kreatopitta), etc. The portions are generous. Excellent value for money.
