Kasserine is located 87 km from Sidi Bouzid and 198 km from Tunis. It is an important industrial city. Surrounded by the highest mountains in the country, the city is located in a plain where the wind raises the sand dust and that of nearby factories. To the north, the railroad runs along the El Hatab wadi, which regularly runs dry in summer. On the road to the south, towards Gafsa, a group of buildings is called the cultural complex. Strolling through the open-air souks, under the tents and in the sand, you can buy at the best price sieves, couscous and fabrics. This small provincial town has its weekly market on Tuesdays.
