The Máta stud farm in Hortobagy breeds powerful Nonius horses. Various tourist shows are organized here.

The Máta stud farm, founded in 1671 and state-owned until the 1990s, is home to around 270 horses, mainly nonius, a traditional Hungarian breed. You can visit the stables, watch demonstrations by csikós (horse keepers) illustrating equestrian traditions, or take a horse-drawn carriage tour of the park. The stud also plays a role in the preservation of Hungarian animal breeds and the management of protected natural areas.

possibilité d'une excursion en anglais 1h30 en calèche dans la Putza ( mieux vaut réserver) , avec spectacle équestre en costumes traditionnel à ne pas manquer , c'est très beau.

Personne en costume traditionnel, debout sur deux chevaux etc., plutôt impressionant.
