MUSEUM OF THE GERMAN MINORITY
Museum housed in Tata's only former water mill, reminding us of the presence of a large Germanic population in Hungary.
Reminiscent of the presence of a large Germanic population in Hungary over many centuries, the museum is housed in Tata's only former water mill, which still operates on occasion. The three-storey exhibition is in German and Hungarian only, and the tour guide speaks both languages, but some of the objects and photos on display (such as the painted wooden chests) don't need much explanation to be "understood" by visitors.
