The Pápa Blue Cloth Museum, unique in Hungary and exceptional in Europe, presents all the stages of the traditional kékfestés (indigo dyeing) technique. This living know-how, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2018, is illustrated in a former workshop over 250 years old. Also on display are contemporary works and period machines, including a horse-drawn press unique in Europe and an authentic Hoffmeister steam engine from 1912.
