A HŐSÖK KAPUJA (DOOR OF HEROES)
An exhibition space in Veszprém dedicated to Hungary's revolutions and wars from 1948 to 1956.
This emblematic monument at the foot of the castle was inaugurated in 1939 to honor Hungarian victims of the First World War. It also commemorates the heroes of the 1848-1849 revolutions, the Second World War and the 1956 revolution. The building was renovated in 2013, incorporating a permanent exhibition presenting the history of the building and the key events of these periods. The courage and sacrifice of Hungarians through the ages are also on display.
