The collection not to be missed in Szentendre is that of Margit Kovács, Hungary's most famous ceramist. Innovative in the 1930s, today she is the beloved great lady of kitsch. His deliciously naive terracotta figurines and his many ceramic figures take the form of busts, biblical compositions and grotesque figures. His cups and vases are painted with characters from Hungarian legends.
