MANGROVE

The Sierpe mangrove extends over more than 30,000 ha, which makes it one of the largest mangroves in Latin America! Classified as a forest reserve by the government in 1977, it also obtained the Ramsar classification in 1995, which designates a "wetland of international importance". To discover the ecosystems that make it up, the best way is to plan a boat trip. By passing through small canals, you will be able to observe the many species of animals that live there, especially since the area is still preserved from mass tourism.
