Henri, a Tico, serves cuisine either indoors or under the palm trees, with his feet in the sand, offering a wide choice of international dishes: ribs, ceviches, quesadillas, brochettes, pasta, fish, seafood and lobster, all at stretched prices. A wide selection of dishes to savor while admiring the sunset. The view is superb. With the sea at your feet and a cocktail in hand, isn't this the perfect combo for pura vida, the real thing? The bar is open until 10 p.m. and twice a week features live music.

We are so happy we booked our room here! The room was comfortable and clean. The atmosphere was amazing, as was the staff. Rolando was the best! He was accommodating and had plenty of suggestions for what to see and do. We booked all our excursions with him, and all of them were exceptional! Couldn't ask for a better experience, and we will definitely be back!

La palapa in Tamarindo is the absolute worst place to visit. I will give them a zero star if that was available, It’s dirty and shouldn’t be a place to consider eating. Although is located on the beach you certainly can find other beach locations to eat or stay. The business owners are a bunch of hasslers thinking that tourists are stupid and have no good sense. If you ask them for something, they just bring you something else. Their goal is to squeeze as much money from you as they can knowing that you will be too scared to protest. Stay away from that place and watch your pocketbook. Visit a good local restaurant such as Este Azul not too far in Tamarindo where the food is fresh and the people appreciate your support.
