Petit Futé's opinion on THE MYSTERIES OF FARGES

Vintage plate 2020

The troglodytic dwellings of Saint-Nectaire date back to the Middle Ages. The troglodyte caves were then rediscovered in the 1990s. Thanks to four caves, dug more than 1,000 years ago, a sound and light show will take you back through the ages. From the time of the warriors to the French Revolution, and finally to the beginning of the 20th century with an astonishing slide show of stereoscopic photographs by Mr Viginet. The visit lasts about 50 minutes. Then continue on a gourmet note by tasting the famous Saint-Nectaire cheese.
