LA ROUTE DES VINS

Take the wine route for tastings (itinerary available from the tourist office) or book an organized tour. The first vineyard was established in 1967, at Vasse Felix (a vineyard to add to your itinerary!). Its success was followed by a number of winemakers, a mix of family businesses, such as Cherubino, with Spanish influence, and major brands, such as Cape Mentelle, now owned by Moët. They often have several grape varieties in the same vineyard, so you'll see Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz living side by side.
