Opened in 2018, Optus stadium is primarily dedicated to the Australian Football League, the national sport that is a cousin of Gaelic soccer. The stadium made a splash in 2021 by hosting the AFL final, traditionally played in then-confined Melbourne. There is almost no parking at the stadium, on match days everything is done to encourage public transport, as well as the use of the new Matagarup Bridge in the shape of pairs of swans embracing. The stadium can be visited and also offers the Vertigo experience, where you can suspend yourself above the void!
