One of Australia's largest breweries, Launceston produces a wide range of popular beers.
James Boag's Brewery dates back to 1883. It was founded by James Boag, a Scottish immigrant who moved to Australia in 1853, where he first worked as a prospector in the gold fields of Victoria, before coming to Tasmania with his family. He soon founded this brewery with his son. It is the second largest brewery in Tasmania, after Cascade Brewery in Hobart. Today, the James Boag Brewery produces a wide range of very popular beers.

Endroit très agréable où l'on peut déguster les différentes bières de la brasserie accompagnés de fromages tasmaniens. Accueil très chaleureux (mais c'est presque banal de la dire en Tasmanie...). Visite guidée moyennant réservation.

Malheureusement nous n'avons pas pu la visiter car il faut réserver au moins 24h à l'avance.
