This residence, once the home and studio of the great painter Hans Heysen, invites visitors to discover his studio.
The Cedars is the historic home of renowned Australian painter Sir Hans Heysen. The 65-hectare property houses the family home, the oldest accessible artist's studio in Australia and the studio of his daughter, Nora Heysen, also a renowned artist. Visitors can admire some 200 original works on display in the various spaces. The gardens surrounding the house offer an immersion in nature, reflecting the inspiration Heysen drew from these landscapes for his creations. In 2024, nine eco-cabins were inaugurated here.
