Museum dedicated to the extraction and history of salt, with numerous audiovisuals, a restaurant and a store
These saltworks date from the end of the 18th century and are still used today to produce a highly appreciated salt. The museum presents the formation, extraction and history of salt as well as its ecosystems in a didactic manner, using numerous audiovisuals. Outside, a guided tour takes you through a working saltworks and explains the work of those who extract it. The site also includes a restaurant and a shop where you can buy the precious salt.

Un musée bien modernisé qui explique en profondeur le travail du sel. Les explications ne sont pas en français, mais un dépliant est distribué à l'entrée en français. Visite à l'extérieur intéressante.

Beau musée bien équipé. Malheureusement comme souvent à Fuerteventura, les explication ne sont pas en français. Mais à l'entrée, on donne un fascicule reprenant les explications en français. De beaux tableaux explicatifs (un peu trop didactiques et longs à lire), vous permettent d'accéder à l'extérieur où on a une très belle vue d'ensemble des salines. A noter la présence de petits écureuils typiques près du four à chaux.
