La Restinga, located in El Hierro, is a top destination for scuba diving enthusiasts. Arrecifal Centro de Buceo is a renowned diving center in the region. With water visibility of up to 30 meters, divers have the chance to explore incredible sites and encounter rare species such as devil mantises, whales and sharks. The center offers a wide range of PADI diving courses and organizes boat trips to some of Europe's most beautiful dive sites. Dives are guided by French, English and Spanish-speaking instructors. The center has all the necessary facilities, including hot showers, rinse tanks, equipment storage, rental equipment and a video editing workstation. The Mar de las Calmas marine reserve, where the dive sites are located, is protected from prevailing winds and offers visibility of up to 40 meters. Visitors can also observe a wide variety of marine life, from lobsters to sharks and turtles.
