RESTAURANTE BREÑUSCA

World cuisine restaurant
2.3/5
3 reviews

Here, unlike many restaurants, everything is fresh! Since 1982, this restaurant has been serving typical Canarian dishes: fries with beef meatballs and mixed salad, rabbit and fish of the day. Everything is delicious! Even the wine comes from the family finca. The terrace overlooks a quiet pedestrian street. Yudith, the owner's daughter, will be delighted to advise you. For the record, this bar has existed since 1947. Back in those days, the owner had a small boat and used to cross from La Gomera to Tenerife with 20 to 30 people at the most: they would travel all night to get to the south of Tenerife. The restaurant was also used as a ballroom, where people liked to come to party and dance.

Downstairs at the Pension Victor, this small family restaurant attached to the hotel is the perfect place to eat a good dish of the day. Choose from grilled sardines, Canarian tapas, garlic shrimp, Spanish tortilla or a fresh vegetable wok and many other good things. Raquel, the chef, is there to pamper you with her usual friendliness. The small terrace, very pleasant and shaded, is located in the main pedestrian street. Everyone likes to sit there to enjoy a dish or a drink. A friendly place with a good quality-price ratio.

Now a "gastrobar", this "salamander" has moved to the central square of San Sebastián de la Gomera to settle in a house dating from the 19th century. His credo: market cuisine, revisiting traditional dishes and making the most of local products such as mango, yam, avocado and palm honey. That you can appreciate for example with a cod dish served with cheese. Or via the artisanal ice creams. Good presentation of the dishes and attentive reception, but it will often be necessary to reserve and sometimes wait.

CONDE DE NIEBLA

Restaurant cuisine dEurope €€

This is the restaurant of the parador, from which you will be able to appreciate the beautiful views of the tropical garden through the large windows. The local cuisine will of course be in the spotlight, with toast ofalmogrote (goat cheese and chili paste), kid meat or palm syrup(guarapo) to accompany some dishes. Occasionally, you can also opt for black cherne, a species of fish with delicate flesh, particularly appreciated by Canarians, accompanied by its papas and mojos.
