This golf course opened in 1987 following a professional tournament. Pepe Gancedo created the original layout, which was later renovated by Manuel Piñero. The aim was to make the most of all the natural protection zones surrounding the 27 holes, protecting a rich native fauna of cacti, palms and other plants. In all, the 7.75-kilometre course is a favourite with golfers the world over. It also boasts wide paths with views of Mount Teide.
