Founded in the 17th century, it currently houses the municipal library. Its beautiful interior courtyard lined with wooden balconies and the neoclassical style sculpture of Poseidon who presides over it are remarkable. Old kitchen utensils and photographs can be seen. The church of Santa Ana, built in the 16th century, was rebuilt after the eruption. It houses the image of the merciful Jesus from Mexico and the 17th century marble baptismal font.

Un lieu qui vaut le détour mais ce qui m'a semblé le plus intéressant, c'est de passer le soir quand les locaux viennent rendre visite à leur aïeul dans le jardin du centre gériatrique... Un témoignage du maintien des liens et de la continuité dans l'insertion sociale des aînés, pas isolés comme dans d'autres institutions en Europe. Beau point de vus sur la côte.

The historic centre of Garachico is really worth stops here. The convent of San Francisco is visited for a very low price. You can especially enjoy architecture and among others, an exhibition on volcanoes and consequences on the town of Garachico.
