The botanical garden is located in the east of the city, about 2 km from the centre, on the heights. It can be reached on foot, by the carretera del Botánico, or by bus. Founded in 1788, this garden, one of the most important in the world, is mainly a acclimatation garden: You won't discover Canary flora, but you'll get wandering in shady walks by trees in Africa, Asia or Latin America. For example, the Canary Palm will be compared to other members of his family. A pleasant corner of green where it makes good strolls.

Un parc botanique avec des plantes et arbres de toute beauté
Beau parc avec des plantes et arbres tropicaux. permet de voir par exemple un banian énorme.

Belle et reposante visite
Parc très bien entretenu avec de nombreuses espèces de plantes et arbres. La visite est calme et reposante. Et certains arbres sont magnifiques.

Payant mais pas cher. Permet de se balader et de decouvrir beaucoup d'espèce d'arbre. Il y a des codes qui dirigent vers des pages Wikipedia mais il faut une connexion. Bien à voir mais pas inmanquable.

On peut passer tout une demi-journée dans ce jardin botanique. Les allées forment un quadrillage un peu formel, très régulier, mais la nature y reprend ses droits de manière très agréable.
