MUSEO LOS SABANDEÑOS
House-museum dedicated to a musical journey of the group housing a music school and a library
Since May 2018, the Sabandeños, one of the best-known Canarian folklore groups, have set up their headquarters in an 18th-century Canarian house. With the aim of turning it into a space for artistic dissemination. On the first floor and upstairs, various rooms will enable you to discover the group's musical career, with posters, photos, souvenirs, golden discs, as well as records that can be listened to. Particularly noteworthy is the room dedicated to emblematic Canary Islands instruments, such as the timple, but also the bucio, a kind of large shell, whose very impressive sound you'll be able to discover. The house museum now houses a music school and the María Rosa Alonso library (20,000 volumes) .
