At the foot of Prague Castle, on Nerudova Street, MuMo (for Musée Montanelli) is a private museum of contemporary art, created on the initiative of the DrAK Foundation. The museum was institutionalized under the patronage of former President of the Republic Václav Havel (1936-2011), who saw in this initiative the beginning of a revival of the Czech art scene. The MuMo organizes three to four exhibitions a year - monographic, group or thematic - featuring local and foreign artists and mixing genres.

Owner's Message
The Montanelli Museum is one of the few private, non-profit Czech organizations dedicated to contemporary visual art. Stimulating creativity and imagination, the MuMo embraces an ongoing dialogue between the established and the experimental, the past and the future. Its mission is to promote public interest in contemporary art and to encourage its deeper understanding by diverse audiences.
MuMo's successful experience with multi-faceted exhibitions in Prague, elsewhere in the Czech Republic and abroad is the best evidence of its open-mindedness and innovative approach. In addition, as the custodian of the DrAK Foundation's collection, the Montanelli Museum has successfully integrated these works into various exhibition projects.
The museum offers a rich program, ranging from exhibitions of Czech and foreign artists, often involving "art as experience", contemporary dance or performances, to guided tours or discussions with artists and curators, to original individual projects.
