The museum is a unique experience in understanding the communist regime and how this period of history shaped all aspects of daily life in the former Eastern bloc. In its new, larger and brighter premises, the Museum of Communism succeeds in conveying this message by building on and enriching what made it successful. おしゃれでSNSに映える美しいプラハがみられるところではありませんが、このプラハという街とチェコという国にいま生きている人たちがどういう歴史を経て、いまの国を持つに至ったかを知るために、ぜひ訪問することをおすすめします。観光客としてきれいな面だけではなく、その背景にあるチェコの人々の苦労と努力を知ることは大切です。
プラハの春は1968年、ビロード革命は1989年とそれほど昔のことではありません。
展示の文量が多く、主に英語とチェコ語のため全てを読んで理解するのは大変ですが、特に共産主義社会での市民生活や監視や取り調べについての展示は具体的な物とともに展示されていて理解しやすいと思います。
