The rear of the Town Hall forms the forecourt of the white St. Nicholas Church (Kostel Svatého Mikuláše), designed by the great Baroque architect K. I. Dientzenhofer and built between 1732 and 1737. A chandelier of astonishing dimensions hangs from the interior. In season, concerts are held at the church almost every day, at 10am and 5pm. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance, one hour before the concert. To the left of the church, we recommend a stop in front of Franz Kafka's birthplace.

Petite mais pleine charme
Depuis la place de la vieille ville on ne peut la manquer, son charme baroque et les concerts qui y sont donnés attirent touristes et locaux presque chaque jour, son architecture, ses décors et vitraux vous enchanteront.

L'église est au pied de la colline du château. Le cœur baroque est orné de quelques statues impressionnantes (évêques combattant le mal). Par la gauche vous accèderez à des escalier pour aller au premier niveau admirer le plafond peint. Vous pouvez accéder au panorama offert par le clocher mais pour cela il vous faudra prendre une autre entrée (derrière) et payer un autre billet.

L'église est magnifique. Les peintures subliment, On pourrait attraper le vertige en regardant le plafond peint.
