Prague's Crowne Plaza was built (in 1996) in what had been the Army Hotel since 1953. Hence its Soviet architecture, of which it is a rare vestige in Prague. This is its great originality and its main asset. The building is reminiscent of Warsaw's Palace of Culture or Bucharest's House of the Free Press. At the top, the star is still there, but in green. The style is repeated inside: large reception halls, monumental staircases, frescoes and more. The transformation is a real success. Comfort is up to expectations. Its location between the university and the embassy district is not exactly convenient for tourists. But the center is easily accessible by cab or public transport.

70iger Jahre Stil. Beeindruckender Eingang und Skyline Bar. Zimmer sind sauber, normale Gebrauchsspuren aber alles sehr gepflegt. Betten sind bequem. Parkplatz hinter/ neben dem Hotel - Tagesgebühr 12€. Zimmerservice und Minibar vorhanden. Safe inklusive.

Bel hôtel avec une architecture très russe. Le toit terrasse avec une superbe vue et bar sympathique. Le personnel est aux petits soins et performant et le petit déjeuner est varié et très bon. Par contre l'insonorisation laisse à désirer au vue du standing de l'hôtel (chambre donnant sur rue : bruits de voitures et bruits dans l'hôtel). Le WIFI est capricieux par période.

Das Hotel liegt recht zentral wie ich finde, mit dem Auto ist man in 15min in der Innenstadt. Man fühlt sich gut aufgehoben und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Jederzeit wieder :)

What a lovely hotel. Had a fantastic experience for my week holiday. Staff were very friendly, especially Phil at the front desk. Breakfast was very good value, and such a great selection. Only gripe is how expensive the sky lounge is. Unless you have £60 to spend on a couple of drinks, I would avoid it completely. Aside from that, the hotel was super clean, quiet and great location, where getting a tram to the centre was a breeze.
