At a distance of 16 km, you may be close to Ulysses' real palace, which was in fact located not far from this large village with its 700 inhabitants. On the hill of Pilikata, with its extraordinary panorama, the remains of walls dating back to the 3rd millennium BC have been discovered. And don't miss the 3D model at the School of Homer. The site also boasts a Mycenaean acropolis, where artefacts from the Hellenistic and Roman periods have also been found. Some believe that the remains may correspond to Ulysses' palace, but excavations are still underway and the mystery remains unsolved.
