MUSÉE ARCHÉOLOGIQUE

Here's a place that'll keep you busy for an hour, no more, but it's good enough. The Kimolos Archaeological Museum may be small, but it is very well done and very well documented. Located in one of the oldest houses in Chorio, opposite the church of the Panagia Odigitria, it presents the archaeological finds as well as the prehistoric and ancient history of Kimolos. The focus is on the excavations of Ellinika and the ancient sunken city of Agios Andreas. An interesting short film retraces the historical heritage of the island.
