Climb to the monasteries of Aghios Symeon and Prophitis Ilias if you are a good walker.

Walking enthusiasts will read the walking guide sold on the island (Graf editions) written by Martine and Christian Lot, two French walking enthusiasts. If you are a good walker, climb up to the monasteries of Aghios Simeon and Prophitis Ilias to admire the Cyclades at dawn. The monastery of Prophitis Ilias is located at the highest point of the island (walking time: about 1h30). In July and September, during the feast of the saints, you can participate in the traditional feast: chickpea soup at will and dancing until dawn.
