On the waterfront, the only real ouzerie in Kamares offers excellent mezzés. You can sit by the water and take pikelia, assortments of fried squid, shrimp, cheese, tzatziki, tarama and other mezzés. The portions are generous, sprinkled with an ouzo of Lesbos or tsipouro de Volos. Margaretta also cooks excellent kafterotiri, spicy cheese balls, while her husband Nick is the specialist in grilled octopus. Try the stuffed chicken and cooked octopus on the grill, as tender as a filet mignon.
