KARTHAIA SITE

In the port of Koundouros, you will be able to embark on a caïque for the other side of the island, by the cape of Tamelos and its lighthouse of 1893, the southernmost of Kéa, and up to the bay of Poleis. There you can visit the ruins of the ancient city of Karthaia. On this archaeological site are visible: the temples of Athena and Apollo Pythios (^5th century BC), fortifications (6th-4th centuries BC) and a theatre (2nd century BC). Enjoy a day trip to the secluded beaches of Mikres Poleis and Megales Poleis.
