ATELIER PEFKIS

This workshop (Εργαστήριο Πεύκης/Ergastirio Pefkis) offers reproductions of Orthodox icons for tourists and pilgrims, but also for churches in the region. Located next to a Renault dealership and founded in 1980, it is run by the family of priest and painter Panagiotis Brella, known as Pefkis (born in Trikala in 1957), who trained at the Athoniada Academy on Mount Athos. It's possible to visit the studio and see a supposedly miraculous icon of Archangel Michael painted here, from which "tears" sometimes flow.
