A real neighborhood canteen, Krouskas offers typical Greek dishes for lunch: moussaka, papoutsakia (eggplant stuffed with minced meat), rice with spinach, vine leaves stuffed with rice, remarkable meatballs... The strategic location, close to the Archaeological Museum and a 15-minute walk from Omonoia Square, makes the place very busy at lunchtime. Good value for money. To eat in or take away. Vegetarian dishes also available.

Glad we stumbled upon this small little family owned restaurant. The owners are extremely nice and friendly and the dishes are all "homemade". I can personally recommend the baked eggplant with feta cheese and the "orange cake".
