The only market in the old town - not counting the morning fish market in Stara Luka - has become very touristy. As a result, prices and crowds are down. The atmosphere is not very authentic. The market is a good place to stock up on small souvenirs (handicrafts, dried fruit, etc.). However, for real food shopping, visit the Gruž market, 15 minutes from downtown by bus, which offers more fresh produce at more reasonable prices.
