Romanesque-Gothic church miraculously preserved with paintings of Renaissance masters.

Little remains of the original Romanesque-Gothic building. The church was largely rebuilt in Baroque style following the earthquake of 1667. The interior, which at the time was rich in gilding and paintings by the Renaissance masters (Titian, Caravaggio...), burned down in the disaster. On the pediment at the entrance to the church, the sculpted Pietà by the Gothic brothers Leonard and Petar Petrović was miraculously preserved.

pour retrouver un peu de calme si la cohue des rues est trop forte et la chaleur trop oppressante.
Le cloitre est très joli et permet de faire de superbes photos le contraste ciel bleu / sculptures des murs est top.
