Museum retracing the mining history of the old anthracite mine, with a superb anthracite block and installations.

Nearly two centuries of mining history are told through the heritage of the former anthracite mine. The visit is organised in three buildings: the Shower Building and its Hanging Room, where a mobile model allows visitors to understand how the shaft worked. The "Chevalement" building with its extraction machine shows the complex installations of the mine and exhibits a superb block of anthracite. Not to be missed: the panoramic model of the Auvergne.

Excellent musée en partie grandeur nature ,très bien tenu par des bénévoles, mérite vraiment le detour .
Petit prix grosse qualité ce qui est rare de nos jours

L'histoire raconté par des gens passionné et passionnant. La mine et son histoire mais aussi actuellement, une exposition sur l'image à travers les divers expositions universelles de la fin du 19eme début 20eme... une belle collection de voiture ancienne. Tout cela prend vie et richesse par le récit de ceux (bénévoles ) qui l'a font vivre. Merci à ces associations rassemblées au musée de la mine pour votre engagement au service de notre patrimoine... ce site mérite bien tout nos encouragements pour continuer tout cela.
